Publications 30th March 2022

The International Bar Association (IBA) Arb 40 Sub-Committee has launched a new competition, “The Common Heritage of the International Arbitration Community: An IBA Arb 40 Competition for the Most Meaningful Personal Stories”. Three Crowns’ Daryl ChewHamid Abdulkareem, and Nicola Peart are facilitating the organisation of the competition. The competition, which was launched at the IBA Arbitration Day event in Istanbul last week, will gather meaningful personal stories and anecdotes about international arbitration, with shortlisted stories to be published in a unique compendium.

Competition entries are encouraged from as wide and diverse a group as possible, and will be reviewed and scored based on defined criteria by a jury comprising members of the IBA Arb 40 Sub-Committee. The most meaningful story within each competition category and the best story overall will be awarded prizes.

Competition entries must be accurate, reflect personal experiences, and not exceed 750 words. The submission deadline is 1:59 pm ET on Tuesday 31 May 2022. For more information on eligibility, categories, and the rules, click here. Entries can be submitted using the following online form, here.
