Three Crowns has been ranked among the top 10 law firms in the world for international arbitration by Global Arbitration Review, moving up to seventh in the GAR 30. The GAR 100 is an annual guide to the top one hundred international arbitration practices globally. As part of this, the GAR 30 uses objective data to single out the highest performing firms within the rankings.
The sixteenth edition of the guide highlights some of Three Crowns’ recent victories, including obtaining and enforcing an award for Crescent Petroleum in a US$15 billion dispute with the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), a win for ContourGlobal in a US$80 million UNCITRAL claim brought by a Rwandan state entity, and a settlement for Mytilineos in an ICC arbitration against an Algerian state entity over a US$234 million contract for a power plant.
A client describes Three Crowns as “second to none in international arbitration and particularly investor-state disputes”, noting that “it tends to staff cases differently from other firms, with a lower associate to partner ratio and with heavy involvement from senior partners”, which “works well”.
