Three Crowns is ranked “significant player” in India for the fourth consecutive year by India Business Law Journal

Three Crowns is pleased to announce it has been named a “significant player” for the fourth consecutive year in the India Business Law Journal (IBLJ) report on the leading foreign law firms for India-related work, which draws on analysis of more than 600 law firms.

The IBLJ report notes that the firm “has acted on some of the largest and most significant commercial and investment treaty claims with an Indian connection”.  A peer added that Three Crowns lawyers are “extremely responsive and have a tremendous depth of experience”.  The report also refers to the firm’s most recent office in Singapore as “further enhancing its reach for Indian clients”.

The report highlights Three Crowns partners Manish Aggarwal, who is also recognised in IBLJ’s International A-List of top international lawyers for India-related matters, and Constantine Partasides QCGeorgios Petrochilos QCGaëtan Verhoosel QC and Kathryn Khamsi as key members of the firm’s India practice.

Manish, a partner in the London office, is a dual-qualified English solicitor and Indian advocate. ABOUT   CONSTANTINE PARTASIDES QC

Constantine, a founding partner of the firm based in our London office, is recognised in all major directories and publications. Chambers UK list him as a “Star Individual” in International Arbitration—one of only two lawyers with this ranking, he was named in the “Hall of Fame” for International Arbitration in the 2021 edition The Legal 500 UK, and has been ranked as one of the “Top 20” individuals in the world of commercial arbitration every year since 2011 by Who’s Who Legal.

Constantine is a co-author of the fourth, fifth, and sixth editions of the leading textbook on international arbitration, “Redfern and Hunter on International Arbitration”. He is a Director of the LCIA Board.

Constantine is a solicitor-advocate (Higher Courts Civil) and was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2014. He was educated at King’s College, London, and Cambridge University.

ABOUT   GEORGIOS PETROCHILOS QC

Georgios has a broad practice spanning more than two decades and covering inter-State, investment, and commercial disputes. He has represented States, international organisations, and private parties in more than 70 disputes, including several appearances in the International Court of Justice.

Georgios has published extensively, including the well-known monograph Procedural Law in International Arbitration, and the leading commentary, UNCITRAL Rules. He is recognised in Chambers and The Legal 500, and as a Thought Leader by Who’s Who Legal.

ABOUT  GAËTAN VERHOOSEL QC

Gaëtan is a founding partner in the London office of Three Crowns. He has served as advocate and as arbitrator in a large number of both commercial and investment treaty arbitrations.

Gaëtan is a past Senior Co-Chair of the Arbitration Committee of the International Bar Association, a member of the SIAC Court of Arbitration, and was appointed to the ICSID Panel of Arbitrators by the Kingdom of Belgium. He teaches investment treaty law at King’s College School of Law in London.

In addition to being an English solicitor-advocate, Gaëtan is also an avocat à la cour (France) and abogado (Spain).

ABOUT   KATHRYN KHAMSI

Kathryn, a partner in the Paris office of Three Crowns, acts for States and corporate clients in all types of disputes, including investment treaty and commercial.  She is also on the ICSID Panel of Arbitrators, and publishes and speaks regularly on arbitration and international law – including, most recently, on emissions trading schemes and deep seabed mining. Kathryn works in English and French, and is qualified in Paris, New York and Ontario.
