Three Crowns is pleased to announce that London associate Elizabeth Chan has been appointed Secretary to the European Advisory Board (EAB) for the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR).
“Serving as Secretary of the EAB is an exciting opportunity to work with leading practitioners and in-house counsel in dispute resolution—stepping into the clients’ shoes when it comes to preventing and managing commercial conflicts,” noted Chan. “The CPR EAB also has a long history in Europe, and I look forward to supporting the work of the EAB in all four corners of this region.”
ABOUT CPR and the EAB
Established in 1977, CPR is an independent nonprofit organization that helps prevent and resolve legal conflict more effectively and efficiently. The Institute convenes best practice and industry-oriented committees and hosts global and regional meetings to share practices and develop innovative tools and resources.
CPR carries out its mission in Europe with the help of the EAB, a prestigious “by invitation only” body of dispute prevention and resolution experts. The Board is composed of CPR member representatives based throughout Europe.
The EAB develops practical resources for in-house counsel and practitioners. The Board monitors issues of public policy relating to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), shares knowledge and best practices, and organizes trainings, events, and conferences throughout Europe.
ABOUT ELIZABETH CHAN
Chan specialises in commercial arbitration, investor-state arbitration, and business and human rights.
Chan has experience in arbitrations administered by different institutions, including the ICC, LCIA, ICSID, AAA/ICDR, PCA, and HKIAC. She has handled matters across various jurisdictions, including New York, Hong Kong, England and Wales, and The Hague.
In addition to being Secretary of the EAB, Chan is also a member of CPR’s Young Attorneys in International Dispute Resolution (Y-ADR) Steering Committee.
