Simon Consedine spoke on the “Renewable Energy, and Arbitration’s Role in Aiding Energy Transition” panel at California International Arbitration Week 2023, hosted by the California Arbitration and California Lawyers Association ADR Subcommittee.
The panellists explored the role of arbitration in accelerating the transition to renewable energy. This included a discussion of key government programs and private sector initiatives, potential areas of disputes and risk management practices, the arbitration of these disputes, and the role of investment treaties in renewable energy projects.
The panel took place both virtually and in-person on Monday 13 March at JAMS in Los Angeles, California.
