Shaun Pereira will speak on the “Gazing into the Future – The practice of international arbitration across the Asia-Pacific region in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic” panel at IPBA Arbitration Day 2022: International Arbitration in the Endemic Age.
The panellists will discuss the existing practices and measures in international arbitration practice and how arbitral institutions should adapt to the changes post Covid-19. They will explore what the disputes landscape looks like for Asia-Pacific, addressing changes to industry-specific disputes with a focus on the energy, construction, and infrastructure sectors. The speakers will also look at what lies ahead in the enforcement of awards and settlements across the region and touch on alternative funding arrangements, including third party funding and alternative fee arrangements.
The conference, which is hosted by the Inter-Pacific Bar Association and supported by the Ministry of Law, Singapore and Maxwell Chambers, will be held as part of Singapore Convention Week 2022.
It will take place on Wednesday 31 August from 9:30am to 5:00pm SGT. Virtual tickets are still available and can be requested via emailing [email protected].
