Reza Mohtashami KC will speak on two panels during GAR Live: Riyadh and Riyadh International Disputes Week 2025. The first panel titled, “Shareholder disputes unravelled”, will examine the complexities of shareholder disputes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, emphasising the critical role of arbitration in ensuring effective resolution.
Reza will speak alongside Dafer Alsubaie (Thamer & Dafer), Tarek Audi (Public Investment Fund), Sarah Gonem (Zamakhchary & Co.), and Mohamed Shelbaya (GBS Disputes). This panel will take place on Monday 24 February from 9:45 am to 10:45 am at The Hilton Riyadh Hotel & Residences.

During Riyadh International Disputes Week, Reza will also speak on the third panel of the “Institute for Transnational Arbitration-SCCA-PSU Joint Symposium: complementarity of courts and arbitration institutions; AI top 10 recommendations; and the Saudi Civil Code”. The panel will cover a review of how courts and arbitration interact regionally, the changes in approach contained in the new Saudi Civil Code and the top 10 ways AI is expected to impact international arbitration proceedings.
Reza will speak alongside Yael Hollander De Groot (Wolters Kluwer), Tom Sikora (ExxonMobil), and Nasser Ali Khasawneh (Eversheds Sutherland). This symposium will take place on Monday 24 February from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm at Prince Sultan University.

Reza is a partner in the London office. He has represented clients as counsel and advocate in more than 90 arbitrations conducted under a variety of arbitration rules in many different jurisdictions.
