Maanas Jain to participate in Young ICCA debate on impact of AI on arbitration at Paris Arbitration Week

Publications 13th March 2023

Maanas Jain will moderate a debate on the motion, “This house believes the impact of AI on arbitration is a distant pipedream, not an imminent reality”, as part of a flagship event hosted by Young ICCA and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton during Paris Arbitration Week 2023.

The debate will assess whether AI has the potential to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of arbitration, or if any transformative changes are still many years away. It will also address important questions about the role of human decision making in the dispute resolution process and the ethical implications of relying on AI.

The debate will take place on Thursday 30 March from 1:00 to 3:00 pm CEST at the offices of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in Paris.
