Lawyers from Three Crowns participated in a workshop on strategic litigation of torture in Nairobi, Kenya, in collaboration with Redress, Role UK, Trauma Team International, and the Independent Medico-Legal Unit.
The workshop was aimed at providing lawyers from Kenya, Cameroon and the Gambia with support on strategic litigations brought before domestic courts and regional and international human rights fora, seeking reparations for victims of torture.
Associate Maanas Jain delivered a presentation on best practice in the preparation and presentation of evidence from vulnerable witnesses, and Three Crowns associate Nicola Peart spoke on effective compensation claims for human rights violations.
