Luke Sobota to moderate investor-State arbitration panel at SIAC Virtual Congress 2021

Luke Sobota will be moderating the panel, “The Multi-Million Dollar Question: Will the pandemic and governments’ responses to it lead to a spike in investor-State arbitrations?”, at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) Virtual Congress 2021.

The discussants will explore potential claims arising out of government pandemic responses, COVID-19 as force majeure, quantifying damages in COVID-19 disputes, the impact of the pandemic on the practice of investor-State disputes, the future of investor-State dispute settlement (ISDS), and efforts to reform the ISDS regime.

The session will take place on Friday 10 September at 11:45am – 1:00pm SGT (BST + 7).
