Kathryn Khamsi will speak on the topic of “Energy Transition and Carbon Markets: Arbitrating the Path to Net-Zero,” at the 9th ICC European Conference on International Arbitration, hosted by ICC Arbitration as part of Paris Arbitration Week 2025.
As the world accelerates towards net-zero goals, this session examines the challenges of energy transition projects and carbon market disputes in international arbitration. Panellists will explore how arbitration mechanisms are adapting to resolve both traditional energy infrastructure disputes and novel carbon trading conflicts.
Kathryn will share her insights alongside Glenn R. George (Bates White) and Kai-Uwe Karl (GE Renewable Energy), with Gabriel Costa (Shell Brasil Petróleo Ltda) moderating the discussion.
The conference will be held on Monday 7 April 2025, from 9:00am to 5:30pm, at the Maison de la Chimie in Paris, with Kathryn’s panel taking place from 11:30am to 12:45pm.
