Trey Childress speaks at New York University School of Law

Trey Childress spoke on a panel dedicated to questions of jurisdiction as part of a conference in honor of Professor Linda Silberman, hosted by New York University’s (NYU’s) Center for Transnational Litigation, Arbitration, and Commercial Law on Thursday 20 April.

The conference featured panels on jurisdiction, choice of law, recognition and enforcement of judgements and awards, transnational litigation, and international arbitration. In addition to presentations by leading scholars and practitioners, including Gary Born, Lord Lawrence Collins, and Alexander Layton, a keynote address was given by Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.

ABOUT TREY CHILDRESS

Trey is Of Counsel based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. His practice focuses on international arbitration and litigation, public international law, and private international law (conflict of laws). Trey has briefed and argued cases as counsel before the International Court of Justice and courts throughout the United States, including the United States Supreme Court.  He has also consulted as an expert on various matters before international arbitral tribunals and courts outside of the United States. Trey is a tenured professor of law at the Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law, where his scholarship and teaching focuses on international arbitration and litigation.
