Three Crowns maintains leading rankings for International Arbitration in Chambers France and Chambers Europe 2023

In the 2023 edition of Chambers France, Three Crowns has maintained a leading ranking for international arbitration. Todd Wetmore has moved up to Band 1, with Shaparak Saleh entering the rankings as “Up and Coming”. Georgios Petrochilos KC and Kathryn Khamsi have continued their rankings in the guide.

The firm has also maintained its Band 1 ranking for international arbitration in the Chambers Europe guide.

In the Europe guide, Chambers describes the firm as “revered for its excellence in both commercial and investor-state arbitrations”. Clients emphasise that the team shows “great ability in handling complex matters” by “providing innovative legal advice and great foresight” and are “very knowledgeable and easy to work with”.

TODD WETMORE

Todd moves up in ranking this year in the France guide, “on the back of widespread market praise”, and maintains a leading ranking in the Europe guide. Chambers France notes that he is “highly accomplished in handling high-value energy and construction arbitrations”. Qualified in civil and common law, Todd has over 25 years of experience handling some of the largest and most complex commercial cases. He regularly acts as counsel in the oil & gas, technology, manufacturing, mining, and commodities sectors, and is a recognised specialist in infrastructure and construction disputes. Todd is a Vice-President of the ICC Court of Arbitration.

GEORGIOS PETROCHILOS KC

Georgios also maintains a high ranking in both the Europe and France guides, which emphasise his “expertise in both commercial and investment arbitrations”. Sources note that “he is very impressive and very focused”. Georgios has a broad practice spanning more than two decades and covering inter-State, investment, and commercial disputes. He has represented States, international organisations, and private parties in more than 70 disputes, including several appearances in the International Court of Justice.

KATHRYN KHAMSI

Kathryn continues to be ranked in the Chambers France guide, in which clients report that she is “extremely focused and knowledgeable, and cognisant of corporate and political realities”. Kathryn acts for States and corporate clients in all types of disputes, including investment treaty and commercial. She is also on the ICSID Panel of Arbitrators.

SHAPARAK SALEH 

Shaparak enters the rankings in the Chambers France guide this year. One client describes her as “a very sharp and capable advocate” who “works hard to make sure her clients’ interests are safeguarded”, and another adds that she provides “highly practical, commercially informed legal and strategic advice”.
