Simon Elliot to speak at YSIAC-DIS40 webinar on due process

Publications 16th May 2022

Simon Elliot will speak at the “Who is Afraid of Due Process? The Civil and Common Law Perspectives on the Spectre of Arbitral Proceedings” webinar, hosted by YSIAC of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre and DIS40 of the German Arbitration Institute.

The panellists will explore whether arbitral tribunals have to respect the parties’ right to be heard to the same extent as State courts, if they must address every single factual allegation of the parties in their awards, and the circumstances that an offer of evidence can be disregarded. They will discuss and compare the civil and common law tribunals and courts from Germany, Singapore, and beyond and provide practical advice to successfully face the spectre of due process in arbitral proceedings.

The webinar will take place on Thursday 19 May from 6:00 to 7:15pm SGT (11:00 to 12:15pm BST).
