The state of corruption 10 years after the Arab Spring

Ten years has lapsed since the first uprising and several questions remain unanswered. In particular, to what extent did the revolutions help to fight corruption? What are the measures that were taken by newly elected governments? Were these measures sufficient to fight corruption? What are the remaining challenges?

Topics to be discussed include:

  • Evaluation of the situation 10 years after the revolutions
  • Main challenges encountered in fighting corruption after the Arab Spring
  • What are the measures taken to fight corruption and are they efficient
  • What role the judiciary has taken in the fight against corruption.
  • What are the lessons learned from the Arab Spring and its outcome? Is fighting corruption a dream or a reality?
